Nutritionist & Chef, Zoe Bingley-Pullin joined Sonia and David in the kitchen to cook up some delicious lamb skewers whilst sharing some celebrity diet secrets.

RECIPE: BBQ Lamb Skewers with a Yoghurt Dipping Sauce

Prep time: 15 minutes

Cook time: 6-10 minutes

Serves: 4

Lamb ingredients

  • 800g lamb fillets, cut into cubes

  • 1 lemon, juiced

  • 2 tbsp of olive oil

  • 1-2 tsp of salt

Dipping sauce ingredients:

  • 200g low fat yoghurt

  • 2 tsp of sumac

  • 1 tsp of chilli powder

  • 1 tsp of dried mint

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

  • 1 tsp of salt

Method:

In a mixing bowl mix together the lamb ingredients and leave to marinate for 30-60 minutes.

In another bowl mix together all the dipping sauce ingredients and cover with plastic until ready to use.

Pre-heat the BBQ. Thread the lamb onto the skewers approx. 6-8 piece per skewer. Place on the BBQ for approx. 3-5 minutes each side.

Serve with the dipping sauce and a green salad.
