About me:
Hey there, I'm feeling somewhat like a piece of fish behind the counter, so bear with me here! I'm a farmer soon to find the right woman. Or the best one for me. It might be from this experience, it might not. Really I'd like to settle down with a woman who's ready and wants to share her journey with me. A journey where we compliment each other. One of love, challenge, romance, fun, tears and a desire to grow as people.
I grew up on the family property, going through school locally. Upon completion I took a year off prior to university. I travelled to America to pursue my passion for waterskiing. I also worked here on the property. At university I studied Agriculture, firstly a diploma then a degree. Upon completion I just had to travel again, this time to South America then Canada which was a fantastic cultural experience. After returning I found work near Wagga Wagga as a grain merchant. After this, I moved to Sydney for work for the same company for a while before changing jobs. I then went into Intellectual Property, again in Agriculture. After spending 2.5 years in Sydney I decided it was time to come back to the farm. So in October 2004 my life as a farmer began!
Being a farmer is a really rewarding job which depends on how one views life. For me I get to work with the earth; mother nature. I work with machinery, my hands and in the office also. At the end of the day my creativity is expressed through the crops we grow. There are many different challenges involved in working with the land, but at the end of the day, I love working for myself, and I love the diversity that being on the farm brings to each day.
My values in life consist of integrity, truth, love and enjoyment. I have this inner hippy or, better put, 'an alternate streak' which I love and it keeps my mind fairly open! I have studied alternate therapies, been to ashrams, enjoy bush festivals, read extensively on spirituality and personal development (well, I go through phases!), and am involved in men's groups. I'm also pretty passionate about the environment and looking after it as best we can.
What sort of girl are you looking for? What do you want to find in a partner?I will be with a woman who shares similar values. I'm looking for a fun, down to earth and open minded woman. Someone who is comfortable with who she is and with a natural radiance. A woman with an open heart and a beautiful radiant soul! Someone who understands life and love as a journey and will be there to share the happy times, the sad and the trying times together. I'd like someone who shares a love of nature and the outdoors and who I just love spending time with.
What I choose in a partner (not necessarily in order);
Beauty: but what good is that unless there is inner beauty?
Fun: a light hearted and fun woman who can laugh at herself ... and me! Not afraid to let the inner dag out for a walk!
Acceptance: a woman who accepts herself, me and others for who they are.
Love: someone who loves unconditionally (yes this is a difficult one!) or tries. Is raw and loves with innocence and passion.
Family values: loves family and wants to provide a supportive, natural and caring environment.
Loving: a spontaneous/sensual woman who loves to give and receive pleasure.
Nature: has a deep sense of gratitude.
What age girl are you looking for? Between 27 and 31
The most interesting thing about me is... I've been to an ashram in India and done a lot of meditation. That was a really interesting and rewarding time in my life. I still make meditation a practice as much as I can.
Interests: Environment, music, walks on the beach, bushland, exercise, travel, good restaurants, openhearted conversation, personal development, spirituality, people watching and shopping and of course ... great food!
I really enjoy travelling and would love to see more. I have been to Canada, US, throughout South America and India. I just really enjoy being exposed to different cultures; their music, food, their dress, and the people. One of the best experiences was hitching across Canada where I felt so free and just open to the people and what life gave to me!
The great outdoors, waterskiing, wakeboarding, footy, animal documentaries.
Music: Most music I love. Rock, pop, soul, chant and world music. Anything that is fun, feels good, earthy or is good to move to. Some of my collection include; Jack Johnson, Coldplay, James Asher, Cat Stephens, Enigma, Krishna Das, Oliver Shanti and Friends. I also enjoy playing the didgeridoo-the only thing I can play.
Reading: Biographies, motivational, self development. Enjoy Neal Donald Walsche's books, Gary Zukav, Wayne Dwyer.
Movies: Most comedy and action/adventure. Even love the odd romantic. Some favourites are,
Braveheart, The Castle, Titanic, The Notebook, Something about Mary, Happy Gilmore, Shawshank Redemption.
Dislikes: People who don't consider the environment and litter this place we call our home. Bear poo on my lawn (yes he's the dog), taxes, high fuel prices, nails down a blackboard, rabbits.
The final word from Farmer Brad: I must admit I'm somewhat nervous about doing this but I reckon the experience will outweigh the fear. I really love the phrase by Oriah Mountain Dreamer, 'I want to know would you risk looking like a fool for love, for your dream, for the adventure of being alive.'
So come share the journey with me…
