Channel Nine already broadcasts full High Definition (HD) programs on the HD service. Most movie broadcasts have enhanced picture and sound qualities, as well as many series including premium brands such as Sea Patrol, CSI and Underbelly.
The much-anticipated HD Channel on the east coast offers viewers a simulcast of main channel programming with the full HD enhancement where available, as well as additional programming each evening.
New programs, including 'breakaway' documentaries, movies and mini-series that have not been shown on the standard definition channel will be available for viewers. Some of these programs include:

Today: Today is Australia’s landmark breakfast program. The three and a half hour show utilises the Nine Networks extensive satellite facilities to present daily news as it breaks around the world.
