As a soul woman chef, Dom possesses a natural passion and a deep desire to develop innovative food using quality, safe, clean, fresh produce. Fuelled by her Sicilian heritage her heart always lies within the pages of Italian cuisine although her inspiration and expertise flows into creating a culinary journey or world food flavours.
Dom has 15 years experience as a chef including seven years as former head chef/catering consultant/cooking school director and business partner in the award winning Mondo Organics restaurant in Brisbane's West.
In 2007 Dom created her own chef /consulting business Pure Food Cooking with a focus and purpose to inspire and generate awareness in cooking using natural whole foods and seasonal local produce to improve health, balance and life vitality.
Dom’s unique style and a combination of simple, well-developed flavours is paramount in her cooking presentations, private cooking classes, demonstrations and recipe development. She also works as a food stylist and recipe writer for various food companies, magazines and journals, which include product endorsements, editorials, TV commercials and advertorials.
Dom prides herself on her integrity, professionalism, effectiveness and success in delivering the same high quality product in any given circumstance or situation. Her experience and food flair is showcased with her particular forte in cooking, customising recipes and menu development for all dietary requirements including specific food allergies, vegan and vegetarian cooking.
Dom continues to travel the world to develop concepts in creating a series of cooking DVDs and innovative food books dedicated to conscious cooking, holistic foods, and a global awareness of healing our bodies whilst promoting sustainable, happy and healthy lives.
Dominique will be a regular fixture on MORNINGS in 2012.
