Assistant Food Editor - The Australian Women’s Weekly
Xanthe has as much fun playing in the kitchen today as she did when she was a tiny tot. Growing up in Rome, a young Xanthe was taken under the wing of the old nonna who lived downstairs, who taught her about olive oil, pasta, fresh produce and seasonality, and instilled in her a passion for cooking. The only thing that has changed is that Xanthe can now reach the kitchen bench, does most of her communicating in English and has her own definite ideas about food.
As Assistant Food Editor at The Australian Women’s Weekly, Xanthe believes that good food shouldn’t be tricky or time-consuming to prepare. She thinks that cooking from scratch is cheaper, can be quicker and is infinitely healthier than getting takeaway - and is, above all, good for your soul. Xanthe’s greatest joy comes from sharing good times and great food with family and friends.
