The Farmer Wants a Wife

Are you a single farmer?

The Nine Networks hugely successful reality series, The Farmer Wants a Wife is again searching for six single lonely Aussie farmers.

This series we are looking for both male and females — the only pre-requisite is you must be a genuine farmer, aged between 25 and 60 years. While The Farmer Wants a Wife is a reality show, it is not a competition. There is no prize money and the only winner in the end is love.

If you are, or know of a single farmer who maybe willing to take part in this show e-mail to farmer@farmerwantsawife.com.au. Please include in your e-mail a couple of photos of yourself (the farmer) and the farm.

If you are a potential wife looking for a farmer, stayed tuned as we will reveal the results of our search for Series Five here soon.

i am 31 girl and looking for a farmer but dont dont wanna go on tv!!! so hopefully i might stumble along one here...fingers crossed
I have watched the series of Farmer and have loved them. I always seem to miss out on the application side. Does anyone know where I can find a farmer who is not as concerned on the outward appearance but on the inner beauty of someone.
C'mon single WA farmers put your hand up, there are lots of ladies out there who would love to have the opportunity to meet you. Im a 41 years young girl from south of Perth and there are lots of nearby places with sprawling paddocks run by single men who just havent found time for love, or lasting love! Put yourself out ther for the show and give us ladies a chance to audition to meet you!
Have just joined here and was wondering if anyone knows how to go about nominating as a contestant for the next series - not to be a farmer but to be chosen by the farmers! I have been thinking and researching it for a very long time but haven't a clue how to go about it!
Hello looking to find out if they going to have any WA farmers on the show next? Id love to meet another farmer as i have dated one long time ago and been to his farm i m looking to find the man of my dreams and so is my single friend to if there are any intrested farmers let me know? or i hope to see if there are any on the next season and look for love in the meantime..Im 37 years old and so is my friend.
I agree with Tezza from Adeliade -the show that gives country guys hope. I joined this website to try my luck in finding a suitable country bloke. I found my luck as one of the farmers, which i applied for, from the 2008 series pulled out, got in contact with me outside of the show. i thought that friendship and maybe him introducing me to some of his friends would land me a bloke, as he also thought that i could introduce him to some of my friends. We both fell for eachother and both couldnt be happier. im still in the city finishing off my degree, and he is on his farm working hard. i manage to drive the few hours each way to see him most weekends. I hope this story gives hope for other out there looking for their farmer or wife. i recommend that you give the show a go, it worked for me.
I am trying to find out how to audition as a wife for the new season, does anyone know where to go or who to contact?
They did the father and son, well what about brothers. I have 2 brothers both looking for someone special to share their lives with...unfortunately, I don't know if you'd get them on TV
Must say I love watching The Farmer Wants A Wife, have followed from the start, however, why is it that all the contestants look like they have just stepped off the runway and dont look suited to country life one bit. Sadly there appears to be a major man drought happening over this way in that there are No farmers looking for wifes... or even girlfriends for that matter... C'mon guys, put ya hands up and find a genuine country girl lookin for lurve..
After growing up on my parents property in the country then moving to Adelaide for University I have seen both sides of the country-city love debate. There is an extraordinary shortage of females in rural areas, mostly due to the lack of career opportunities whilst the men generally stay back to run the family farm. At the beginning of the year I had the good fortune of meeting a man who, coincidently, had joined up to partake in the 2009 series of Farmer Wants A Wife. I'm lucky enough to say that we are still together and he's making the big move to the city this weekend. For all those farmers who think there isn't enough women in the country and to all the females who are looking for their love but can't find it in suburbia, I highly recommend you join up on this show and take advantage of all it has to offer. You may just be surprised with what you find...
