Everyone’s favourite House Husbands – Justin (Firass Dirani), Lewis (Gary Sweet), Kane (Gyton Grantley) and Mark (Rhys Muldoon) – are gearing up to begin production on season two of the popular series this week in Melbourne.
Also returning for another season of trials, tribulations and adventures are Julia Morris, Natalie Saleeba, Tim Campbell and Leah de Neise, plus Anna McGahan and Georgia Flood.
In 2013 several new faces are joining the action, with special guests Craig McLachlan (Rescue: Special Ops), Madeline West (Underbelly), Geraldine Turner (Home and Away) and Rick Donald (Underbelly: Razor) all set to bring new characters to life in the hit drama.
Heads of Drama for the Nine Network, Jo Rooney and Andy Ryan, said: “We are thrilled to have House Husbands returning for a second season.
“With such a strong cast and some great names joining the series, we’re excited to be providing more fantastic local drama for our viewers.”
Executive Producer David Maher said: “It’s great that Australians have embraced the House Husbands and their families and we’re looking forward to bringing another season of heart-warming Aussie drama to the screen."
In series two, chaos descends upon the home of Lewis (Gary Sweet) as Phoebe (Georgia Flood) and her new baby Jem settle in. Justin (Firass Dirani) and Nicola (Leah de Niese) pick up where they left off getting their family back together. Kane (Gyton Grantley) and Tom (Tim Campbell) follow their dream of expanding their family, while Mark (Rhys Muldoon) and Abi (Natalie Saleeba) try to adjust after swapping roles in the household.
House Husbands is produced by Playmaker Media and will go to air on Channel Nine later this year.
