Aussie Ladette to Lady 2: Episode Three

It’s the third week of term at Hereford Hall finishing school and the girls come down to breakfast to discover a mannequin dressed in an elegant evening gown. Their weekly challenge is to host an afternoon tea and fashion salon for a gathering of fashion luminaries and grand dames. Some of the ladettes are elated while others find the prospect of flaunting themselves all too feminine.

They then start the day’s classes, and in elocution the girls learn that one of them will compere the show. But judging by the girls’ less than perfect diction, the show looks set for disaster.

In cookery the girls are presented with the fabulous array of gorgeous cakes they must produce for their guests. Rosemary Shrager puts them to work and allocates individual tasks. The experienced teacher is extremely worried: this group of ladettes are the worst cooks she’s ever had.

Deportment teacher Lady Devonport then hustles the girls backstage for their dress rehearsal while Rosemary Shrager and Gill Harbord act as their audience. Most of the girls are more elephant than elegant and Lady Devonport is at her wits’ end. She holds out little hope for a successful show.

The guests start to arrive while the ladettes assemble their cakestands. Niels Van Rooyan, director of Holland and Holland, arrives to see his clothes modelled. A stickler for detail and self-professed snob, his standards are extremely high. His collections, intended for kings and queens, take years to develop and he doubts whether the ladettes have any chance of doing the clothes justice.

Afternoon tea dispensed with, the catwalk show commences. The compere introduces the first girl and stumbles, drawing attention to her mistake. She manages to gather herself together and keep the show on the road. Afterwards there is resounding praise for the triumphant catwalk show.

On assessment day, three girls are in the firing line, but the teachers agree unanimously they have reached the end of the road with one. As the expelled ladette pulls away from Hereford Hall in her chauffeur-driven car the others revert to their outrageous behaviour and the teachers are left wondering whether now, half-way through the curriculum, they are back to square one.

Get over yourself Mark....where have you been hiding? Obviously you haven't been to many music festivals or skyworks shows to think that these girls are not indicative of Aussie girls. You have to take into consideration they probably are playing up for the cameras as well. For all we know , they could be nice quiet girls off camera hahaha
I made the egregious error of watching 90 seconds of this tripe the other day. Who the hell would choose to watch this rubbish? These repellant *** are not representative of Australian girls, they are the lowest of the low. This show is just another example of mediocrity being touted as a virtue.
I agree with Rayne that Sam shouldn't have been evicted. There were other more deserving girls who were behaving less like ladies by snogging the bachelors and getting drunk off their faces and giving cheek. Why you think Donelle should have gone is beyond me!! She hasn't done anything wrong like the other girls!! I would have thought that Jess was the prime candidate for the past TWO weeks!!
Some morbid masochistic urge drove me to watch this show and I was horrified. Ok, these girls are doing this for their "15 minutes of fame" but nevertheless I think that if the producers of such shows are going to have judges judge these girls they need to choose women who have integrity, command respect and have some at least some pleasing physical attributes. Not like the three they have, who look and sound like a cross between the Ugly Sisters and retired tarts . The comments they throw at these hapless victims are more applicable to themselves, perhaps a good hard look in the mirror judges IF it doesn't break in the mean time!!!
with the money that they have made over many episodes why would they not fix the head masters teeth - to act like a lady one must present like a lady - one smile from her is enough to send the finest gentleman screaming into the sunset
I have watched two episodes of this show and the trend is the same. These girls, as good Australian as they are, are putting a genuine effort to please their two ugly, old, grumpy so called teachers. It seems to me they are left alone in very challenging tasks such as cooking profiteroles and complicated pastry, and them publicly attacked. Also left alone for a quiet drinks just to come came and catch them on something "not lady like",such as laughing. This make them nothing less than BULLIES. These old women have no recognition of these girls past lives and really think their out of date, useless exercises will help them in the times we are living. These women have been sucked by their fame and have become out of touch with reality, making this the worst reality show i have ever seen.
I think that the eviction of Sam was the wrong choice. It was evident that she was genuinely disappointed that she failed at her challenges. The girls go there to become better people, what good is it succeeding in the challenges if it doesn't make them a better person and raise their self esteem. I think that the teachers prayed on Sam's low self esteem and her desire to please them. Sam had lots of unrecognized potential which showed when she left with her last comment to the cameras being she now knows that she wants to change. Donella was the obvious choice, she may have succeed at her challenge but completing a challenge doesn't make you a better person. I'm disgusted at the role models for these girls trampling on already fragile self esteems.
I cannot believe this show is back on the air. All these Australian girls need an absolute slap across there ***. Typical however of gen Y australian chix, total scrags! As for the old *** who are supposed to be ladies, they wouldnt have a brain between them. Speaking with a drawn out slow drawl with limited vocabulary does not constitute intellect, culture or being a role model as a lady! These are nothing more than unintelligent, sexually frustrated old farts that need a serious reality check. Maybe the young *** with the old hags need to go to boot camp
I like the new episodes, but your so harsh on them, calling them ***. there just learning for god sake... don't treat people like *** cause they will just treat you the same! its unacceptable
