Refoulement under the refugee convention is the stopping of people from reaching a signatory nation to seek asylum. Under what law do you rogue cowards act in Indonesia to have people jailed when that is illegal in international law?

AFP liaison officers comply with all relevant international and domestic legislation when undertaking activities with partner law enforcement agencies. As the episode screened on Tuesday night noted, the AFP operates in Indonesia at the invitation of the Indonesian government, and criminal charges and prosecutions are the responsibility of the Indonesian National Police. The episode also noted that operational activities in Indonesia are undertaken to prevent people risking their lives by attempting a dangerous sea crossing to Australian territory in boats that are often overcrowded and in poor condition.

JW- "Why can't they come by plane and request asylum the correct way like most others!" Yes, because it's easy to get onto a flight to Australia from Indonesia without a visa - you just have to explain that you're a refugee! JW, Are you serious?? By the way, there is no real "correct way" in most situations - this is a myth. Any background reading (that's not sponsored by the Australian government) would have told you this! Australia's refugee treatment is unlawful and a blight on our nation - shame on us!!
The AFP is not stoping these refugees from getting to Australia, rather stopping them from risking their lives getting on dangerous boats. Why can't they come by plane and request asylum the correct way like most others! The AFP is simply stopping the people smugglers, NOT the refugees. Secondly, there is no breaking of any international or domestic law (both Australian and Indonesian) in these cases. You need to do a little bit more research before making these ridiculous claims publicly on the internet. Shame on you!
Oh shut up would you. They are over there stopping the damn boat people from illegally entering our borders. They are breaking no laws, they do not arrest anybody themselves, they simply gather intelligence and hand it over to the Indonesian police. Go watch the show next time instead of jumping to conclusions, ***.
